Terms of use

These terms apply to everyone who uses tvpick.in (the “site”), which is run by TVpick (“we”, “us”). By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

1. What the site is

The site is a free information service that compares televisions and links to retailers. We do not sell products, and we are not a party to any purchase you make. Any contract to buy is between you and the retailer or seller, on their terms, including price, delivery, warranty, returns, refunds and installation.

2. Information is provided “as is”

Product information on the site (specifications, features, images, prices, availability, ratings, rankings, scores and comparisons) is compiled from third-party public sources on the internet and by automated processes, including AI tools such as large language models and AI-assisted web search. We do not invent specifications, but the sources, the AI tools and our own processing can all make mistakes. Information may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. We do not verify products physically. The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty or representation, express or implied, about its accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, or fitness for any purpose.

3. Your responsibility before buying

It is your responsibility to read the manufacturer’s specification sheet and the retailer’s product listing carefully, and to confirm the model, specifications, price, seller, warranty and return terms, before you buy. Do not rely on the site alone for a purchase decision. Rankings, scores, verdicts and comparisons are opinions, not facts and not professional advice. Guidance on screen size, viewing distance or wall mounting is general. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and use a qualified installer.

4. Prices and links

Prices are the most recent we observed, on the date shown. They are not live, and the price charged is the one the retailer shows at checkout. Links take you to third-party websites that we do not control and are not responsible for. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Some links may be affiliate links. 5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or any information on it, including a purchase you make, a product that does not match its description, a price difference, or a retailer’s or manufacturer’s act or omission;
  • we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, data, goodwill or opportunity, even if we were told it was possible;
  • where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims about a purchase is limited to the affiliate commission we actually received for that purchase, after any cancellation, return, refund or reversal by the retailer. If we received no commission for it, because you did not buy through our link, the order was returned or cancelled, or the retailer did not pay us, there is no amount payable.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

6. How to make a claim

A claim is considered only if all of the following are met:

  • it is sent in writing to our contact email within 12 months of the purchase, by the person who made the purchase;
  • it includes the order number, invoice and date, the TVpick page relied on, the information said to be wrong, and the manufacturer’s or retailer’s published information showing the correct value;
  • the purchase was made through a link on the site and was not cancelled or returned;
  • it is made individually, in good faith, and not as part of a class, representative, bulk or automated submission. Claims generated or submitted by bots or AI agents in bulk are not accepted.

We will review a claim within 30 days and, where it is upheld, pay no more than the amount set out in section 5. We may first correct the information, and doing so is not an admission of liability. Nothing in this process removes any right or remedy you have under applicable law.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • scrape, crawl, copy, download in bulk, or systematically extract the site’s data, rankings or images, by robot or by hand, except for ordinary search-engine indexing;
  • republish, resell or build a competing database from the site’s content;
  • overload, probe, attack, or bypass any security or rate limit of the site or its API, or interfere with other users;
  • use the site for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful.

We may block access that we believe breaks these terms.

8. Intellectual property

The site’s design, text, rankings, scores and compilation of data belong to us or our licensors. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. Brand names, product names, logos and product images belong to their respective owners and are shown only to identify products. Their use does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by them. 9. Content concerns and takedown

If you believe content on the site is inaccurate, or infringes your rights, write to [email protected] with the page address and the details. We will review it and correct or remove it where appropriate.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.

11. Changes and availability

We may change, suspend or withdraw the site or any part of it, and update these terms, at any time. The “Last updated” date shows the current version. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older, or use the site with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
